Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about how the tools work, how we handle your data and how to get in touch.
Are the calculators and converters really free?
Yes. Every tool on Reeliy is free to use, with no sign-up, no trial period and no paywall. The site shows no advertising at the moment; see the Advertising Disclosure.
Do I need an account to use a tool?
No. There are no accounts, logins or forms to fill in. Open a tool, type your numbers and read the result.
Is the information I type stored or sent to your servers?
The calculation runs in your browser, and the site never uploads what you type. There is one thing to know: once you press the button, your numbers are added to the page address so that the result can be reloaded or shared. That address is visible to anyone you send the link to, to the site you share it on, and to our hosting provider's logs whenever the link is opened. So share a calculator link only if you are happy for the other person to see your numbers. See the Privacy Policy for the details.
How accurate are the results?
Each tool is built from standard, published formulas and checked against worked examples with known answers. Results are still estimates for general information: inputs, rounding and assumptions all matter. Read the Editorial Policy for how we build and test tools, and the Disclaimer before relying on a result for an important decision.
Why does a result differ from another calculator?
Different tools often round at different steps, assume different conventions (for example how a month or a year is counted) or use slightly different constants. Each of our guides states the formula and assumptions it uses, so you can see exactly where a difference comes from.
Can I share or save a calculation?
Yes. After you press the button, the page address changes to include your inputs. Copy that link, or use the "Copy direct link" button under the result, and anyone who opens it sees the same calculation. Because the numbers are in the link, anyone who gets it can read them, so think before you share a calculation that is personal.
Can I put a calculator on my own website?
Yes, free of charge. Every tool has an embed code, under "Embed this tool" next to the form, and the widgets page lets you pick any tool and copy its code. Use the code as it is given and keep the link back to the original tool page that the widget shows; the conditions are in the Terms of Use. A widget sets no cookies and loads no analytics or ads.
How do I report a mistake?
Please email hello@reeliy.com with the name of the tool, the values you entered, the result you expected and the result you saw. We check every report, fix confirmed errors promptly and update the page's "Last updated" date. See the contact page for what to include.
Can you add a calculator or converter I need?
Probably. Send the idea to hello@reeliy.com and describe what you want to work out, with an example if you have one. We cannot promise every request, but suggestions are how the catalogue grows.
Do the tools give medical, financial or legal advice?
No. They are general-purpose calculators. For decisions about your health, money, taxes or legal position, speak to a qualified professional. The Disclaimer has the details.
Does the site use cookies?
No. At the moment the site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising services, so there is no cookie choice to make. The Cookie Policy says what that means in detail.
Can I use your content in my own work?
You may quote short passages with a link back to the page. Copying whole guides or tools, or republishing them elsewhere, needs permission; the one exception is the embed code on the widgets page. See the Terms of Use. A ready-made citation is at the bottom of every tool page.
Do the tools work on a phone?
Yes. The pages are built mobile-first, load quickly on slow connections, and every tool can be used with a touch screen or a keyboard.
